| Announcing Three New CRT Monitors from NESO
Taipei, Taiwan, May 22, 2002 – Today, NESO Technology Inc., a manufacturer of high-end monitors, announces the new HD Series of CRT monitors. Including a 17” 72kHz (model name: HD 770A), 86kHz (model name: HD 786G) and 97kHz (model name: HD 797P) models, the new HD line is ideal for working with large documents, using advanced graphics applications, or simply enjoying the latest multimedia titles.
Key features of the new HD family:
- Swappable color chassis shells
- Unique five-key OSD control
- iVIDEO technology
- Luminance up to 500 cd/m in Movie mode
- “FD Trinitron” CRT
- Compliant with international safety standards
The HD series is designed in consideration of users who use a computer for various purposes. They may use the computer for text-oriented applications such as Microsoft Word at one time and later on use the same computer for viewing pictures or watching VCD/DVD titles. The problem is that most, if not all, of the monitors currently on the market produce only one display mode for different applications”, explains Mr. James Chen, Director of R&D at NESO.
“To increase users’ viewing comfort when using different applications, NESO has developed technology called iVIDEO”, adds Chen. “The iVIDEO function was integrated into a hot key on the front bezel and the user is able to instantly switch between Text, Game/Graphics and Movie modes. The Game/Graphics mode is designed especially for playing games or viewing pictures, while the Movie mode, which increases the brightness of the screen to 500 cd/m2, provides a vivid, color-rich image, giving users the best viewing experience for multimedia such as DVD movies or VCD titles.”
The NESO HD Series is designed with a Sony “FD Trinitron” CRT that features an ultra-fine 0.24mm aperture pitch, along with sculpted lines and striking visual accents that ensure an HD Series monitor looks attractive on any desktop. Adding to its appeal, the chassis features colored shells that can be swapped to suit a user’s personal preference or working environment.
NESO is set to exhibit these products in Suite 1314 of the Grand Hyatt Hotel during Computex. For more information, please visit our website at
